Quantum Delta NL awards 5.3 million to 16 Dutch research projects

A prison for ions and cold atoms for a unique quantum simulator? Checking the geographical position of a bank computer with quantum verification? Quantum optics to see if a communication network has been tampered with? These are three of 16 futuristic projects within the National Growth Fund programme Quantum Technology organised by Quantum Delta NL in collaboration with NWO. In total, more than €5.3 million is involved.

In total, more than €5.3 million is involved.

Dutch Minister Micky Adriaansens opens the first ‘House of Quantum’

Yesterday, Quantum Delta NL (QDNL) opened the first location of the House of Quantum, in Delft. The House of Quantum is to become the world’s first national quantum campus consisting of several multi-tenant buildings for quantum companies across the Netherlands. The Dutch Minister for Economic Affairs and Climate Policy, Micky Adriaansens, officially opened the building during a festive event in the presence of among others Techleap.nl Special Envoy Constantijn van Oranje, founders, investors and knowledge institutions like TU Delft. Orange Quantum Systems, Qblox, Quantware and QphoX are the first companies to join – all alumni from the local Delft quantum cluster – and now reside under the same roof.

Minister Micky Adriaansens opent eerste ‘House of Quantum’

Gisteren is in Delft de eerste locatie van het House of Quantum geopend. Het House of Quantum moet ‘s werelds eerste nationale quantumcampus worden, bestaande uit verschillende verzamelgebouwen voor quantumbedrijven verspreid over het land.  Minister van Economische Zaken en Klimaat, Micky Adriaansens, opende het eerste gebouw tijdens een feestelijke bijeenkomst op de nieuwe Delftse locatie in aanwezigheid van onder anderen Techleap.nl Special Envoy Constantijn van Oranje, oprichters, investeerders en kennisinstellingen zoals de TU Delft. Orange Quantum Systems, Qblox, Quantware en QphoX zijn de eerste bedrijven die zich er hebben gevestigd.
