🚀 Help Shape the Voice of the Dutch Quantum Ecosystem

QDNL is on a mission to make the Netherlands a global frontrunner in quantum technology. Backed by €615 million from the National Growth Fund, we’re building the Netherlands into a leading European quantum hub, fuelling scientific progress, high-tech job creation, and economic impact.

To support this mission, we’re looking for an Events & Communications Manager who can strategically design and flawlessly execute high-impact events: from intimate stakeholder meetings to large international conferences.

🔎 Your Role

As Events & Communications Manager, you are the coordinator at the heart of all events in which QDNL is involved. You maintain a clear overview of the event landscape and make deliberate choices about where QDNL speaks, has a booth, or what events we sponsor. You ensure these choices are strategically aligned and consistently communicated.

You bring structure to a complex ecosystem by aligning internal teams, partners and suppliers, and by ensuring QDNL is presented with one clear narrative, positioning and visual identity across all events. A key part of the role is hands-on coordination: planning, organising, managing logistics and ensuring smooth execution.

You are part of the Marketing & Communications team, where events are your core expertise. At the same time, you are strategically involved and support broader communication activities such as PR, public affairs, content strategy or video productions when needed.

🎓 Required Qualifications & Skills

  • At least 3 years of experience in event management. Preferably additional experience in (online) communications or a related field.

  • A structured, independent working style with strong coordination, planning and organisational skills

  • Affinity with innovation and technology.

  • Comfortable working in a dynamic, evolving organisation.

  • Able to manage multiple stakeholders and keep an overview of many moving parts.

  • Curious by nature and eager to dive into new topics, even complex ones like quantum.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in native/ fluent English, with a proven ability to work effectively with a diverse set of stakeholders across public and private domains.

We especially encourage individuals with a migration or bi-cultural background to apply.

đź’ˇ What we offer

  • A key role in a national quantum technology initiative

  • High autonomy and ownership over QDNL’s event portfolio

  • A collaborative, informal, and purpose-driven team culture

  • Flexibility in where and how you work (we’re in Delft on Mondays and Thursdays)

  • Room to grow and shape your role based on expertise and interests

  • A full-time position (32 - 40 hours per week) with the prospect of a permanent contract

  • A competitive salary and benefits package
