The Holst Lecture 2025, the 46th since 1977, will be given by Prof dr Jörg Wrachtrup, a prominent German physicist at the University of Stuttgart and a Fellow at the Max Planck Institute for Solid State Research, known for his pioneering work in quantum sensing, particularly using nitrogen-vacancy (NV) centers in diamonds to create ultrasensitive nanoscale detectors for magnetic fields, electric fields, and temperature.The general theme chosen for the Holst Memorial Lecture reflects the important contribution of dr. Join the Dutch Quantum Standards Committee Meeting – 24 November in Delft<a href="https://www.cencenelec.eu/areas-of-work/cen-cenelec-topics/quantum-technologies/">CEN-CENELEC/JTC22</a> has published its first quantum standard, the “<a href="https://www.cencenelec.eu/news-events/news/2025/eninthespotlight/2025-10-23-tr-18202-2025/">Layer Model of Quantum Computing</a>,” marking a major milestone for Europe’s quantum industry. Dutch contributors, including Delft Circuits and TNO, played a leading role in shaping this foundational document for modular quantum computing.QDNL advocates for early involvement in standards activities from all the Dutch stakeholders. To learn more, join the next meeting of the Dutch National Standards Committee, coordinated by the <a href="https://www.nen.nl/en/">Royal Netherlands Standardization Institute</a> (NEN), on 24 November, 10:00–12:00 CET at NEN’s Delft facilities. Dutch Quantum Standards Committee Meeting

Together with Quantum Delta Netherlands, the Law and Governance of Quantum Technologies Research Group at the University of Amsterdam is pleased to invite you to an online roundtable discussion, which aims to brings together IP and patent attorneys, in-house counsels, legal professionals in Europe working at the intersection of quantum innovation and IP. Online Roundtable — “From Quantum Innovation to Quantum IP”

The Amsterdam Light Festival (ALF) returns from November 27, 2025, to January 18, 2026, with the theme "Future Legacy." This year, Quantum Delta NL (QDNL) is joining forces with the festival to inspire a new generation with creativity, innovation, and science. Children play an active role in this collaboration. Together with artist Federico Murgia, primary school students will create a unique light artwork that is part of the festival. Through hands-on workshops, they will discover how art and quantum technology intersect and become ambassadors for both the festival and science. This collaboration sparks curiosity and stimulates creativity, aiming to have a lasting impact on future generations. In this way, the ALF and QDNL will not only make the city shine, but also the minds of young explorers.
