Quantum Delta NL at the UK Quantum Technologies Showcase

Last week, Quantum Delta NL was in London for the UK Quantum Technologies Showcase, one of the UK’s leading annual events highlighting cutting-edge innovation and collaboration in the quantum sector. The week was a valuable opportunity to strengthen ties between the Dutch and UK quantum ecosystems, connect with partners, and share insights from both sides of the North Sea.

We kicked off the week at the Department for Business and Trade’s Scotland Ecosystem Event, where they shared an inspiring overview of Scotland’s thriving quantum landscape, from world-class research at Scottish universities to the growing network of startups and industry players driving innovation forward. And, of course, we couldn’t leave without hearing about Glentanglement, the quantum-inspired whisky.

That same afternoon, we headed to the Dutch Embassy in London, where the Embassy team hosted an engaging session for Dutch quantum companies. Together, we explored the evolving UK–NL quantum relationship, discussed available support for Dutch businesses expanding into the UK, and shared ideas for future partnerships.

Friday marked the main event: the UK Quantum Technologies Showcase at the Business Design Centre. The atmosphere was electric, with packed halls, fascinating demos, and endless conversations about the future of quantum technologies.

Quantum Delta NL proudly represented the Dutch quantum ecosystem, joined by PiCard Systems, QBlox, Quantum Delta Delft, TNO, Single Quantum, Orange Quantum Systems, Brabantse Ontwikkelings Maatschappij & Netherlands Foreign Investment Agency who showcased their work and highlighted the Netherlands’ growing role as a European hub for quantum innovation.

Between the panels, pitches, and networking sessions, we even found time for a classic London pub lunch — a welcome moment to reflect and have a few one-on-one conversations with partners and peers.

We return to the Netherlands inspired by the energy and ideas exchanged throughout the week. A big thank you to all our UK hosts and partners who made us feel so welcome, and to the Dutch companies who joined us in representing our thriving ecosystem abroad.

We’re looking forward to building on the momentum and continuing to strengthen the bridges between the UK and Dutch quantum communities.
