Quantum Policy Academy 2024
Dear quantum colleague(s),
We are delighted to invite you to the first edition of our new Quantum Policy Academy, a unique event designed specifically for quantum start-ups, and for those working in the young quantum economy.
This training programme will provide you with insights around the geopolitical dynamics and policy trends affecting the global quantum community. By joining this event, you will be equipped to effectively navigate the increasingly complex policy landscape surrounding quantum technology, enhance your strategic understanding of policymakers' perspectives and will help you to align your business strategies with the evolving policy landscapes.
At the Quantum Policy Academy, you will also have the opportunity to engage with industry peers, think tankers and public affairs experts to explore topics such as: “What is the growing role of governments, and how do industrial policies impact the young quantum economy?” “What are the new mechanisms in the fields of investment screening, export controls and knowledge security?” “How can global collaboration be safeguarded in times of geopolitical tensions?”
This 1 day training is an initiative by Quantum Delta NL’s Centre for Quantum & Society. The programme includes a variety of speakers from business, academia, think tanks, and intergovernmental organisations. The training offers lectures, discussion rounds and deep dives into specific areas of quantum policies. You will have the opportunity to meet with leading policy-makers and industry experts; and we offer networking opportunities with fellow professionals and industry leaders.
The event will take place 9-10 October 2024 in Brussels.
We will kick off the event with a welcome dinner, where participants will be introduced to the geopolitics of high tech & quantum. This informal setting will provide an excellent opportunity to meet and network with fellow attendees while setting the stage for the in-depth discussions to follow. The second day we will dive deeper into the role of governments in quantum and how to navigate quantum policy in practice.
